When I Visit A Password-Protected Page it does not prompt me for password

In this case it just appears the security is not working, in reality it is. What happens, when you login or authenticate to a page of this type of browser stores a “cookie” on your computer. The next time you visit this page it will check for the presence of that cookie and if found will not prompt you again for the password. These cookies will expire after a certain period of time or if you clear your browser’s cache or temporary files these cookies might be deleted. If you attempt to login to the page from a different computer you will see the password request.
